Collection and Accounting

  • Collection of all Taxes and other revenues due to the Board, and issues receipts accordingly
  • Receives collection returns from other departments, zonal offices and MDA’s
  • Receives details of direct lodgment into government coffers by both MDA’s and organized private sector
  • Collate all collection details from all sources
  • Monitoring actual revenue collections against set targets to identify lapses for prompt follow up
  • Receive details of Tax assessment from departments for subsequent collection
  • Accounting for all revenues collected in the prescribed manner
  • Reconciliation of all collection details with both departments, zonal offices and banks
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly collection reports for both management and other stake holders
  • Coordinating all the technical departments with respect to Tax/Revenue collection
